T-6 Hours to leaving LeasePlan

I'm finding it harder and harder to focus on work. I really need to finish up some things for the Spec Enhancement project, but all I can think about right now is the people I'm going to miss working with at LeasePlan. In fact as I was writing this, Donald Higgs, one of our switchboard operators, stopped by with a really touching card for me. I'm really going to miss the people here, and I hope that I can stay in contact with some of them at least.

On a more mundane note, I'm also trying to figure out what I'm going to do about a cell phone. My old one is LeasePlan's so I've got to find a new one. It was an old Motorola P280 phone and, with almost divine prescience of my imminent departure, the phone stopped working last night. I'm looking at a Motorola V600 to replace it, since that has BlueTooth (which will work well with my Palm Tungsten T3), and it is a quad-band world phone. My problem is that JBoss (my new employer) will pay for the plan if it is with TMobile, however I don't start with them until May 2nd. I'm looking into trying to get some kind of pre-paid SIM for the phone, but the TMobile approved pre-paid plans I see don't include that phone. I'm thinking that an unlocked V600 could still work with a pre-paid plan, but then I'm not sure about porting the number over to the new plan. More research is required...

In the course of working on some deadlock issues, I found that MS SQL Server exhibits some unexpected (to me, at least) locking behaviors that can affect performance and cause deadlocks. FreeNAS, CIFS, and user login problems

I have been in the process of converting from the dead-end Windows Home Server product to a FreeNAS server for my home NAS.  I was trying to replicate the same sort of set up that WHS had for user directories.  In WHS, there was a share called "Users" and under that share there were various user directories corresponding to each user account.  I thought it would be pretty simple to replicate that same behavior to allow users to simply attach to \\nas-server-name\Users in Windows, and then navigate to their own user folder.  What follows is how I achieved this, as well as a problem I fought with for a while that prevented certain users from connecting via CIFS. Official Pandora Desktop and Hotkey Support?

EDIT: There is a slight problem occasionally with this script not being able to send keys to the Pandora Desktop Air app. I've got an updated version of the script that you can use instead of this one. Pandora is a different sort of online music service that uses the work of the Music Genome Project to automatically selects music similar to an artist or particular song, and then streams it over the Internet for your listening pleasure.
